Let’s travel to a place that many international tourists still don’t know about—Cagayan de Oro, often called CDO by locals.
This city is especially meaningful to me because it’s where I currently live, and I’ve always wanted to introduce it to travelers looking for something different from the usual destinations like Cebu or Boracay.

How to Get to Cagayan de Oro
Getting here requires one additional domestic flight.
There are two common routes:
- Fly to Cebu, then take a 40-minute flight to Cagayan de Oro.
- Fly to Manila, then take a 1 hour and 20-minute flight to Cagayan de Oro.
- If you are from philippines you can ride the boat from manila and cebu also.
Although it takes a little more effort to reach, the journey is definitely worth it.
Since there are many places to explore, I recommend staying 4 Days and 5 Nights. If you have more time, even better.
